Establishing Beach Dental
As many of you may know, Dr. George Oszoli was the pioneer behind establishing the original Beach Dental in 1998, in the little gingerbread house just down from its present Queen Street East location.
Education and Early Dental Career
George graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto, then went abroad to Hungary to study dentistry. He graduated in 1992 from the same city his parents immigrated from to Canada. After two years of teaching, working, and travelling throughout the continent, George returned home to Toronto, completed the Canadian National Dental Board Exams, and began practicing as an associate in the Beach in 1996.
Growing Beach Dental in the Community
Two years later, Beach Dental was opened. With the help of his wife, Andrea, who many of you know and are still greeted by at the front desk, George built a well-established practice that became a cornerstone of the community for over 20 years. After moving and starting a family in the Beach, the need for more space eventually led Beach Dental to move just down the street to its present, expanded location in 2019.
Welcoming Dr. Ajay Singh
With a loyal and hardworking staff who were pivotal to his success, Beach Dental welcomed Dr. Ajay Singh in 2024, along with some of his closest staff members. Together, George and Ajay surrounded themselves with a team of highly qualified and trusted specialists, ensuring that patients at Beach Dental had access to the best possible dental care right here in the community.
Outside the Scope of Dentistry
Outside the scope of dentistry, George’s pride and joy is his daughter, Sydney, now a third-year Commerce student studying at Dalhousie University. Most of his patients are well aware of this, with many having their own children out at “Dal” as well; small world.
George loves travelling around the globe with Andrea, and especially enjoys getting to as many Bruce Springsteen concerts as possible in the immediate area. When he’s not in the office, you can often find him behind the wheel of his vintage 1988 Porsche 944S. Swimming, cycling, and golf also help keep George fit, trim, and out of trouble.
